It’s time to break up with your toxic makeup

Time for a reality check, we know you love the way your thick, luscious eyelashes flutter and your cheeks blush with that iridescent gleam. But friend, you’re in a toxic relationship. You deserve more than this harmful, fake rubbish you’ve been putting up with. All those broken promises and blatant lies that they’re trying to help you “be your best self” but then poisoning you from the inside out.

You’ll make excuses to hold on but now is the time to break up with your toxic makeup.

We promise this is one breakup that won’t have you sobbing, stuffing your mouth with chocolate and watching romcoms on repeat. You’ll be grateful, glowing and carefree knowing you are free from the toxicity. If only every breakup could be this clean.

WHY SWITCH TO CLEAN BEAUTY?

Let's talk about the importance of switching to clean beauty. Clean beauty refers to products that are made with natural, non-toxic, safe ingredients that are good for both our bodies and the environment. By choosing clean beauty, we are protecting ourselves from harmful chemicals that can have long-term effects on our health.

Some of these ingredients include:

  • Parabens
  • Phthalates
  • Silicone
  • Formaldehyde
  • Nanoparticles
  • Mercury

Which have been linked to the development of cancers, hormonal imbalances, and fertility issues, neurological damage, asthma, dermatitis, and other serious health concerns.

BUT DOESN’T AUSTRALIA HAVE LAWS & REGULATIONS TO PROTECT US?

Unfortunately, like many of the laws and regulations in our country, these regulations are lacking horribly. In fact, the Australian government only bans 38 chemicals from use in cosmetics, while the European Union has banned over 1300. This means that many products sold in Australia can still contain harmful ingredients that have been deemed unsafe in other parts of the world.

HOW TO MAKE SURE YOU DON’T GET FOOLED AGAIN?

Look out for the red flags by reading ingredient labels and avoiding products that contain these harmful chemicals. Instead, look for the green flags such as terms used like Certified Organic, all-natural ingredients and clean beauty, which can help to ensure that the products you're using are safe and ethical. Another option is to support local clean beauty brands that are committed to using safe, natural ingredients. Like REB Cosmetics!
